It costs £30,000 a day to run York Minster and your admission fee directly supports the future of the cathedral.

Tickets for York Minster are valid for 12 months - keep your ticket and return throughout the year!

Skip the Queue by booking in advance for a fast-track access on arrival.

Admission is free for York Residents, University of York students and York St John University students. Please bring with you a proof of address (such as a York Card or utility bill) or university ID.

York Pass holders can access the cathedral upon presentation of their York Pass to our admission team.
